Natural Stain Remover for the Season Ahead

No matter how careful we are, stains happen. As school goes into full swing, our kiddos will be coming home with all kinds of stains on their clothes from grass and mud to mystery stains. And as we all know, our husbands and sons just cannot prevent those yellow underarm stains and dirt rings on their shirts. So how do we treat this smorgasbord of stains without harming the fabric of our clothing? Leave that to Roux Maison.

Tired of stain removers that were harsh on stains and on fabrics, we developed our natural, fragrance-free stain remover. Our stain remover gently lifts stains from your clothes without the use of harsh chemicals or bleach. You’ll be amazed at how tough it is on stains while being gentle on your clothing. So grab a bottle and get ready to conquer some stains.

Is your husband fed up with those embarrassing underarm stains on his white dress shirts and undershirts? Look no further. We have the solution to keep him looking fresh and stain-free. The good news is that those stains aren’t the result of your hubby being overly sweaty – they’re from his sweat reacting with the aluminum in his antiperspirant. Luckily, he doesn’t have to choose between smelling good and looking good. The most important step in treating any type of stain is treating it before it has a chance to set into the fabric. After your husband takes off that white shirt, immediately apply a few drops of Roux Maison Stain Remover to the stained area and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. After it has had time to sit, toss it in the wash on the warmest setting the fabric can tolerate (remember, check those tags!). If the stains are especially bad, soak the stain with white vinegar for 30 minutes and wash as usual with the appropriate Roux Maison detergent.

While we’re getting rid of those pesky stains on your husband’s clothes, let’s tackle that grimy collar ring! You may wonder just how your husband is getting so dirty sitting at his desk all day, but that ring actually isn’t from dirt at all. It’s a build up of natural body oils and skin cells. Yuck! But it’s not as difficult to clean as you think. Simply grab your trusty bottle of Roux Maison Stain Remover, dab it on the collar and rub it in with a clean toothbrush. Let the stain remover sit for a few minutes and launder as usual with Roux Maison Essential Detergent.

The start of school means new stains from playgrounds, crafts and all manner of other activities our kiddos get into. The playground and football field are both perfect places for new stains to happen. Luckily, you have the ideal product to take care of them. When your little one takes a tumble or gets a little too rough in the grass, the knees and elbows of his clothes can go from clean to green in seconds. Those grass stains don’t have to be the downfall of your tot’s favorite outfit. With just a little bit of elbow grease, those stains will come right out. Dab a bit of rubbing alcohol or Roux Maison Stain Remover on the stained area and wash as usual with Roux Maison Sport or Essential Detergent. If the garment cannot be machine-washed, rinse with cool water and lay flat to dry.

Whether you’re washing your kids’ or your husband’s clothes, you’re bound to encounter your fair share of ink stains. They can come from innocent art projects or a simple leaky pen in a pocket, and each one threatens to ruin your clothes and your day. The solution is about as simple as the cause, though. Because ink can be such an aggressive stain to remove, you’re going to need a little more power in your cleaning arsenal. This is where glycerin comes in. Glycerin is a naturally occurring solvent that works wonders on ink stains and can be found in the laundry aisle of your local grocery store. Simply rub a small amount of glycerin into the stain very gently and allow sitting for 15 to 20 minutes. Launder as usual with the appropriate Roux Maison Laundry Detergent. Another option is to spray the stain generously with hairspray and rinse with water before laundering as usual.Don’t have glycerin or hairspray on hand? No worries! Our stain remover works great by itself on removing those stubborn stains. Just apply it directly to the stain, let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes and wash with your favorite Roux Maison detergent!

One of the most frustrating school stains comes from the colorful and havoc-wreaking world of crayons. Your little one has so much fun coloring on just about everything – including his clothes. But getting those stains out of his clothes never seems to be quite as much fun for you. Don’t worry, though. With a little effort, those stains will come right out. If the crayon residue is still soft, freeze the garment to harden the wax and scrape off with a dull knife. Then place the stain between clean paper towels and press from the back with a warm iron to transfer the remaining crayon to the paper towel. Once most of the crayon is gone, add a few drops of Roux Maison Stain Remover to any remaining crayon color on the fabric. Let sit for about 15 minutes and launder as usual with the appropriate Roux Maison Laundry Detergent.

Everyday stains don’t have to ruin your day or your clothes. Armed with our natural Stain Remover, you can gently remove pesky stains without worrying about damaging the fabric of your clothing. At Roux Maison, we want to help you lift those stains so you can get back to your day.
